Using Contacts and Group Lists
Many of us need to create email lists for groups of people. Group Lists provide our customers with the ability to easily send a group email to a number of addresses through a single alias. Group Lists provide customers with the following:
Using Contacts and Group Lists, you can:
- Create and store names, email addresses, mailing addresses, and other contact information
- Create group mailing lists from your list of existing contacts
- Add contacts to the Frequent Contacts list for quick access when composing an email message
- View up-to-date contact information for users within your domain. This information is specified by your email administrator within the Company Directory section of the control panel
- Import an address book from any email application (Outlook, Yahoo, Thunderbird, Gmail, etc.), and map the original fields to the corresponding fields in the webmail address book (e.g., mapping "Cellular Phone" to "Mobile Phone")
- Export your webmail address book for Outlook, Yahoo, Netscape, Gmail, Thunderbird, and webmail
- Ability to create Group Lists in the Control Panel, inside of the Email Accounts section
- Ability to send to unlimited internal (same domain) recipients
- Ability to send up to 50 external (outside domain) recipients
- Ability to setup dynamic recipient capabilities-as new mailboxes are added to a domain, they will be automatically added to the Group List
- Ability to setup restricted senders so that only certain people can send to the Group List
